Interesting…Ian Goodfellow dismissed the idea of Hebbian learning completely on Quora.

Taiwan is brilliant right now.
But the coming election looks a little worrying…

This reminds me sth. They sarcastically call Japan "the best completed communism state without being named" cause everyone is trying to be the same as others, so if your colleagues are working overnight than you'd better not leave cause you don't want to be alienated. It's funny how these ppl are trying to get to the opposite extreme that no one shall try to be better because some of them don't.

Thirty years has passed and nothing has gotten any better. Really a shame that all those people spilled their blood for nothing.

Well, at least all the socialism and communism countries tend to suppress and kill their own people which slows down their paces of expansion. That saves the rest of the world.

Today I recalled that when I was in middle school my teacher showed some American movies to us that I still love now.
It's unimaginable these days.

This Firefox bug is gonna damage its already thin userbase a lot…Mozilla has been quite shady these days to be honest, but for now Firefox is still the only substitution for Chrome for average users…

This is what happens when tech companies form monopolies. They are more dangerous than traditional ones because they control people's thoughts.
Some of them want Socialism, some of them love China. That's fine and go ahead, but STOP FORCING OTHER PEOPLE TO AGREE WITH YOU. (2/2)

FB and Twitter just banned a bunch of high profile figures because of "violation of policies".
These people have a tendency to skew towards the far end, yes, but why banning one end not both? Besides, the judgement should be left to their users, not by the platforms themselves which conveniently use "hate crime" as an excuse to police thoughts and push their own political propaganda. (1/2)

Just saw something on my TL…Really? After "Easter worshippers" now comes "alleged copying"? The leftists really mastered the skill of playing with words and double standards aren't they. Besides, this way of manipulating ideas of the public cannot be more familiar.

そうか…平成の始まりはあの年だったのか…

Time is passing really fast.
I didn't find what I want in the past era, but I will still be proud to be living in this time. The past six years changed so many in my life but even half of them are bad things I still had precious moments that I'll never forget.
Nothing is more painful than seeing the world falling into chaos and things I love being in danger. Powerless to change anything, true, but still I wish I can stand by the side of those I love when the time comes.
I will always be fighting

Steve Mann's Chair from a #cyberpunk dystopia, exhibited at San Francisco Art Institute, 2001.

It revolutionizes seating by being the first product to offer a cloud-based, Seat as a Service solution. The chair comes with a dozen of spikes. It's connected to a global license server. You would obtain a Seating License to retract spikes. When license expires, spikes will be activated again. Also if you don't accept our ToS, remain standing!

I have always been suspected about whether a password manager is a good idea. Isn't it providing a single point of failure in the system?

@niconiconi @uranther Yep. They withdraw it officially. I’m sure undocumented ones exist. About all subsystems perpherals serial numbers : My article CIA forced me to unpublished focussed mainly on that. There are at least 30 unerasable / unmaskable / unchangeable serial numbers in a standard PC motherboard IC’s and subsystems. Mac address is the only one that is garanteed to be editable because stored in an EEPROM or Flash in most ethernet controllers. That’s no
